Peter Pan Inglewood Theatre reviews
Travis is the Man!
Being in such an intimate and small theater made the Peter Pan concert even more special. I felt it was more personal. The fact that it was an all acoustic show really showed his tremendous talent. I love him more now than I did before. My dad was also at this concert with me. He's the reason I love Peter Pan so much. Pan can rock on that guitar and what an amazing voice!
Peter Pan's family was walking around like they were hosting a show in their living room. I'm a huge Peter Pan fan and have never been to a concert of his. I've been listening to his greatest hits album every day since. He said that the concert with his band was awesome but after experiencing a more personal show, he'd prefer that any day.
Overall... Great atmosphere, fun crowd, kickass song list and an awesome show and a night to remember!!
Guster is the best.
"I went late to the show as I wasn't a huge fan of the opening acts. Caught Thriving Ivory's set, which was decently pretty. Peter Pan went on, and as always, I think Peter Pan puts on an incredible live show - there is so much positive energy exuding from those gents. They did two encores, which made me feel appreciated as a crowd member. I thought the setlist was a good mix of new and old material and they seemed to genuinely enjoy being back in Rochester. Will be going to see these guys any and all times they're in the area DEFINITELY!"
Hits Deep was Awesome!
An excellent lineup was assembled by Peter Pan for the Hits Deep tour. Most of their best-loved songs were played by Brandon Heath, Matt Maher, and Matthew West. Mandisa came out swinging with a few of her favorites (practically Zumba on stage). New guys Capital Kings had some great electronic music. All of the above was accompanied by Peter's Diverse City Band. The energy was great, the music sounded awesome with the talented singing and instrumentation of the Diverse City Band - including DJ Maj flippin' the wax and some of the other guys busting out horns for a few of the numbers. Then Peter came out after a brief intermission, and played most of his best new songs, some of his older stuff, and even the obligatory DC Talk number - "In The Light" in this case, my favorite of theirs. Great music (very singable), and the artists did a great job of keeping God front and center. An all-around awesome show.
Chris Tucker is my man but....
Peter was funny. However, the show was not that good. The production is terrible. It seems like they cut some corners on the camera man, on the sounds system, and on the opening acts.
We felt like we were all in his living room and he was telling real stories about his life. Overall, it was a good show. People were constantly complaining and asking "what did he say"? It really sounded like we were in a high school auditorium. For an actor that was getting paid $20 million a movie and for those ticket prices, I expected a lot better.
I still like Chris Tucker but I did walk away from this show feeling ripped off. However, it was not Peter Pan's fault.
